So you want to know about me, eh?

I started blogging when my first child was two years old. I had discovered the blogosphere and realized that I could connect with other moms besides my friends and family. The idea of having a voice and someone listening to me was straight up cool. I have never considered myself a writer, so the thought of writing out my experiences, my thoughts, my heart ache, and my joys was intimidating. However, after a few posts, I realized quickly that this was good for me. I needed a creative outlet and this was it.

After a few years, I took a halt to my blogging and even reading of blogs because I found myself comparing myself to all the amazing and creative people out there. Their blogs were inspiring. They were so inspiring that I felt like I really had nothing to share. . . well, nothing interesting at least. I don't have a business, I am not super crafty, I am not a super mom, I am not a brilliant writer, I don't have a super nice camera to take super cool pictures, and I'm just not that artsy. I'm your average joe.

I have a lot of things I do want to share. I have a family that I adore. I dabble in card making, cooking, reading, scrapbooking, photo taking, shopping, and saving money. I am your average mom that can relate to most people. So I am here to connect, to share, to encourage, and to keep it real.

I live in funky Austin, Texas. I have two children and an amazing husband. The man is amazing. Period. I struggle with juggling everything in our lives, but I try to make the best of it. I'm also a Christian who loves the Lord Jesus. I like to write about how real the Lord is in my life and how I simply cannot make it without Him. The real meaning of life is to live out Christ so that He has an expression here on this earth.

 Welcome to my journey.
