a girl's ruby slippers

Every girl has to have a pair of ruby slippers.

She does.

She loves them.

She can put them on all by HERSELF.
(doing things by herself is all she ever wants to do now)

But, she's outgrown them, yet she still manages to squeeze her feet into them even if it means screaming some and making grunting noises. The girl loves her shoes.

I love having a girl.
I don't know why I was so scared to have one?

She has her daddy wrapped around her little finger.

Life is good.

Ha ha! You better get her a replacement pair of ruby slippers in the next size up!

Emma has a tank top she insists on wearing that I am almost certain is a size 4 (she's 9). We only let her wear it to sleep in, though. And she's had an opinion about her shoes since she was 2 years old.

Girls are awesome. I was scared, too, after having the boy first.

I LOVE having a girl too! Who wouldn't want ruby slippers! How cute. My daughter isn't at the point of choosing her clothes, but for my son it's the blue and orange rain boots (how often does it rain here?) That and an airplane tank top and shorts...and yes, it does get cold here!
