Hi friends!
Let me just say that having two kids throwing up over the weekend and planned events to host made for a tiring weekend. Enjoyable nonetheless, but tricky.
Last Saturday I had the privilege to attend a cake pop class hosted by Objects of Confection and Kathy Phantastic. I won a pass (to my amazement) to the delectable class by posting a comment on Kathy's blog. I love it when people are so generous! I mean, really, what are the chances of me attending a Thai cooking class and a cake pop class within two days from each other? Chances were low, but it happened.
The class was hosted in a re-purposed grocery store in south Austin called Community Renaissance Market. I marched myself (well, I ran actually because I was late) to the back of the market and found lovely treats awaiting my crafty hand to decorate them.
Kathy made these lovely cake pops as inspiration for us rookies.
Aren't they adorable?

Did you know that you can buy markers that contain edible ink?
It's a whole other world people!

A happy student and so proud of my bear!
Are you inspired? Then go check out Kathy's blog and Jessica's website. I think it's time for you to learn something new and treat yourself to something so delicious!

How cute! That's so awesome that you can take these enriching classes and have an outlet for all your excellent creativity. Wish I lived closer and we could do it together. I used to want to get into cake decorating years ago, but never went very far with it...maybe that will have to be a revived hobby when the kids get older. :)
Those are so cute! I bet that class was fun. And I sure hope the kids are recovered.
So that's where you got that terrific photo in your header! I'm glad you won the class. See, already you're learning something new -- two new things!
